    Heartland Dental’s Accounting Department has been experiencing rapid growth over the last few years, and there’s more to come! Are you ready to be part of this thriving team? We have created a new position, Director of Revenue, to oversee supported office cash collections and GAAP revenue recognition.


    The Director of Revenue will report to a Vice President and work closely with Heartland Dental’s supported offices and their team members.


    As the Director of Revenue, some of your duties and responsibilities will include:


    • Direct and oversee cash audits, patient refunds, fraud prevention and related controls for over 800+ supported offices.
    • Direct the revenue team and provide the necessary GAAP expertise, including the cash audit team and accounting staff.
    • Lead implementation of new revenue recognition accounting standards as they become effective.
    • Collaborate with the Operations Team to direct and execute processes and controls surrounding cash collections.
    • Interface with team members and various 3rd party payor (insurance company) processes to ensure seamless billing and cash collection.
    • Adhere to established accounting policies.
    • Manage account reconciliations and review for appropriate completion and adherence with US GAAP.
    • Supervise execution of internal controls.
    • Develop and mentor team members.
    • Additional projects as assigned.


    You might be the perfect fit for this job if you have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other relevant professional license, or retail industry experience with specific focus on daily cash audit and fraud prevention processes strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in navigating financial accounting systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail; ability to work well under pressure, especially in a deadline driven environment, and multi-task.
    • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
    • Track record of building teams.
    • Ability to work at the Support Office in Effingham, IL as needed to perform job responsibilities.


    You might also have:

    • Experience with SOX and internal controls.
    • Experience working in a shared service environment managing both centralized and decentralized functions.
    • Experience working in an accounting department, including preparing or reviewing account reconciliations and posting journal entries.
    • Healthcare industry experience.
