    Credit Account Specialist

     

    Heartland Dental is looking to expand our team!  As a Credit Account Specialist at Heartland Dental, you must be capable of handling a substantial amount of work in a fast-paced environment.  You will be expected to review patient accounts with credit balances to determine if it was an error made by insurance or if the credit belongs to the patient.  Must apply a high degree of accuracy and exhibit excellent organizational skills.  We are looking for a flexible team player who is professional and can work diligently with minimal social interaction. 

     

    The Credit Account Specialist will play a critical role supporting the Dental Insurance Administration team processes and projects.  The position reports to the Credit Account Lead and will also support key initiatives (goals) of the department.

    Responsibilities

    Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

     

    • Learn and Understand how to audit accounts effectively and in a timely manner
    • Learn and Understand the 15 month credit process
    • Learn and Understand the Unclaimed Property Laws for each State
    • Promptly answering phone calls and emails with great customer service.
    • Knowing and understanding different insurance plans, and Medicaid
    • Work on special projects for the Dental Insurance Administration team, reports, and other such projects to support the work of the Dental Insurance Administration Department

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Able to work, adapt, and contribute to a team atmosphere
    • Open, Positive, and Flexible and a Can Do attitude
    • Ability to prioritize and multitask
    • Be a problem solver
    • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail, but keep up with a fast paced environment
    • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
    • Ability to manipulate spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
    • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Experience with insurance is a plus
