    Project Scheduler – Construction                 

     

    We are seeking a collaborative strategic thinker with great problem solving skills to organize and lead a number of initiatives related to the real estate, project management, & facilities teams. 

     

    The Project Scheduler will play a vital role with various activities in support of our real estate team, as well as existing and new office projects.  We need a great communicator with prioritization skills and a positive attitude to take on responsibilities in leading scheduling, project risk assessments, design support, scope and stakeholder alignment.  This individual will have a lot of opportunity to get involved in special department projects & initiatives alongside the Project Administration Team.

    To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work closely with the real estate, project management, and facilities team, reporting to the Project Administration Manager.

    Responsibilities

    Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

    • Develop integrated master schedules based on project scope using defined project execution philosophies.
    • Lead creation of initial risk assessment for all projects and hand-off to project teams to utilize and maintain.
    • Guide project teams in risk mitigation strategies for all capital projects.
    • Direct preliminary design as needed for project teams to streamline processes.
    • Partner with external design firms to maintain Heartland Dental design standards & prototype plans.
    • Advise project teams in defining the scopes for projects as needed to help mitigate scope creep.
    • Develop task management plan and key milestone delivery dates for all capital projects to monitor and ensure all stakeholders are accountable for their critical deliverables.
    • Develop and evaluate procedures and recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects to reduce issues due to scheduling errors.
    • Conduct schedule and risk evaluation reports to effectively lead interpretation, communication, and creation of action items
    • Lead and or work on special projects or key department or company initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Architecture related field OR 3-5 years of applicable field related experience OR Associates degree and 1-3 years of applicable field related experience.
    • Works well in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.
    • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to see & think holistically on departmental processes, systems and strategies
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • High level of integrity, work ethic, professionalism, self-motivation and sound judgment.
    • Knowledge of scheduling tools – Microsoft Project or other related scheduling programs required.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
    • Ability to work well under pressure on multiple projects, tasks and prioritize personal workload. 

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years of construction and architectural planning related knowledge and experience is helpful.
    • Bachelor’s degree in construction or architectural planning or capital planning & design.
    • Project Portfolio planning software experience helpful.
    • Construction or project management knowledge or experience helpful.
