    Associate Project Manager – Construction

     

    We are seeking an innovative, experienced and highly motivated individual to assist in the opening of Heartland Dental newly supported offices from site approval to opening day of patient care.  This position plays a critical role in Heartland Dental’s growth in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.  The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for assisting in overall management of the new supported office projects, led by a Project Manager from approval to completion by managing contracts, maintaining schedules for on-time delivery, communicating with project stakeholders and managing project documentation.

    You will play a critical role supporting the Development department’s growth strategies and work with a professional team of site representatives, project managers, and project support staff to contribute toward Heartland Dental’s growth goals, reporting directly to the Project Administration Manager.

    Responsibilities

    Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

    • Manage the execution of contracts for all newly supported office projects
    • Maintain accountability with architectural firms on deliverables to achieve project delivery dates
    • Establish and maintain vendor documentation and communication
    • Initiate vendor bid process for new supported office projects from bid request, , bid review
    • Maintain project schedules
    • Review and manage project invoicing process and manage change requests
    • Compile and manage project closeout documentation
    • Work on special projects or key initiatives for the Development department
    • Build strong relationships with internal teams, preferred contractors, vendors and suppliers

     

     

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Completion of one of the following:
    • Associate’s Degree and two years related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and one to three years related work experience OR five years related work experience
    • Understanding of building construction, building design and project management principles
    • Practical project knowledge in scheduling, cost, contracts and change management principles
    • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work well under pressure on multiple projects, tasks and prioritize personal workload
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • High level of maturity and sound judgment with the ability to work in a team environment

     Desirable Qualifications:

    • Experience with project management related software
    • Experience in dental and healthcare office design & construction
    • Extensive knowledge and/or certifications in project management methodologies.
