    Accounts Receivable Field Representative, Operations


    Responsible to be the expert in Accounts Receivable for their region and communicate with the Regional Director of Operations and the Regional Manager of Operations when systems and time-lines are not being followed. Ability to provide training and research in the region to grow our team’s knowledge of Accounts Receivable systems and efficiencies while holding accountability of team members for following those systems.

    Team member will work independently but will also partner with the operation team to meet regional goals. They will report to the Regional Support Administrator (RSA)


    Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

    • Assist the region with a wide variety of insurance and accounts receivable matters relating to training, day to day processes and holding accountability.
    • Provide training to Practice Manager of Operations (PMO) and develop a strong relationship with the PMOs in the region, creating a partnership to support both our new and existing business office assistants and contributing to our goal of achieving retention.
    • Promote Accounts Receivable trainings through eLearning, growing our teams’ knowledge, to assist them in delivering the highest quality customer care to their patients.
    • Work to integrate and support Affiliated and Denovo (Heartland Dental created) practices that are newly supported in the region by ensuring they have the tools, training and support needed to successfully integrate with Heartland Dental. Provide additional training on systems and timelines to set the offices up for success early.
    • Support all new technology and efficiencies as they are introduced, assisting with roll-outs and training on all new processes and help offices get through the stages of change to see the increased efficiency
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with the rest of the Accounts Receivable reps and Accounts Receivable and Dental Insurance Administration (DIA – Fee Schedules and Credentialing) teams at home office, to ensure cohesive support all around and a consistent message



    Minimum Requirements:

    • Practical knowledge of Dental or Medical Insurance and/or Accounts Receivable
    • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail 
    • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to interact with co-workers in a collegial manner to accomplish common tasks
    • Self-starter and able to complete tasks without supervision
    • Ability to travel multiple times per month on short notice with potential overnight stays
    • Analytical problem solver
    • Strategic thinker who is comfortable making decisions

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Experience with insurance billing and/or collecting past due balances preferably in a healthcare setting
